Building our custom family home from 1997-1999 at 8 Story Lane was a 14-year dream come true. While vacationing on Sanibel and Captiva Islands back in the mid-eighties, my then-boyfriend Jim and I came across this beautiful model home that captured our interest immediately. When we returned home, we met with an architect to draw up a plan while the memory was fresh in our minds.
Fast forward 14 years and my now husband Jim built our dream home on 5.5 acres purchased from a local Sandwich Church just in time for our first daughter Stacy to begin Kindergarten at The Oak Ridge School. We named the street "Story Lane" after our daughters Stacy & Tory. Our son Andrew was born the following year.
We feel blessed to have lived in such a special home that we designed and custom-built with much excitement and love. The soaring ceilings, walls of glass, and natural light always delight while the abundance of nature and privacy surrounding us provide a quiet beauty all year long.
The house has been filled with the love and laughter of family and friends, music, dance, and many great gatherings, holidays, and graduation parties.
