This is a special place. Blueberry road is appropriately named as there are many bushes along the road to pick blueberries right around the corner for your muffins and pies. Sunsets every night are spectacular all year long. Directly across the water makes for evenings of relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends on your private white sandy beach. In the summer when the sun is out and there is no wind you feel like you are on a Caribbean vacation. When the afternoon breeze kicks in it brings a comfortable cool. Water quality on Big Sandy is excellent with clear and refreshing swims. A private dock for you boats is key to enjoy water sports like tubing, wake boarding and water skiing. Although the homes have smaller properties all of your neighbors are kind and very nice and with recent home and property improvements have really enhanced the surrounding area. Sleeping with your windows open listening to the gentle sounds of lapping waves makes for a restful nights sleep. Watching the moon over the pond is especially fun when it’s full. We have even done a midnight moon stand up paddle around the pond with friends which was thrilling and beautiful. Due to the remote location the stars are abundantly visible on clear nights. There are many bird species to enjoy like the blue heron we named Larry, a family of bald eagles with a nest across the pond, mallards, and little birds trotting down the waters edge looking for minnows.
