We like to keep you informed of the local real estate market to ensure you're well prepared when you need to make the decision whether or not now is a good time to buy or sell your home.

Below is a list that we've put together of the local South Shore and Cape Cod market reports for May 2018 ⤵️

In the Town of Hingham, the Average Days On Market decreased while the Average Sale Price remained the same for the last two months.


Plymouth has remained consistent in most areas although the number of home sales has increased from 68 homes SOLD in April vs. 83 SOLD in May.


The town of Scituate saw an increase in the number of total home sales from April to May.  Homes SOLD significantly faster in the month of May down to 45 days vs. 118 in April.


The Town of Marshfield has increased in the number of current homes for sale and number of homes sold from April.


The town of Kingston sold more homes in the month of May vs. April with more homes on the market to choose from.  The Average Days On Market increased by 124% in May which indicated inventory is not moving as fast as it was throughout the month of April.


In the town of Duxbury, the average sale price has continued to decrease from March to May however the average days on market decreased from 99 to 63 unlike it's increase last month.  The number of homes sold saw a slight increase as well. 


The town of Norwell has remained consistent with the level of inventory available however there were significantly less homes sales in the month of May vs. April.


The Town of Cohasset has seen a decrease in the Average Sale Price from April ($1.2m) to May ($886k). 

Inventory remains consistent for the town of Hanover through the month of May.  The average sales price increased slightly from $575k to $618k.



In the Town of Sandwich, the average sales price continues to increase along with the average days on market.


The Town of Mashpee stayed fairly consistent from April to May with only slight increases in the Average Sale Price and Days on Market.

    The Town of Falmouth has had a large increase in inventory throughout the month of May however home sales also increased significantly.
