We like to keep you informed of the local real estate market to ensure you're well prepared when you need to make the decision whether or not now is a good time to buy or sell your home.

Below is a list that we've put together of the local South Shore and Cape Cod market reports for June 2018 ⤵️

In the Town of Hingham, there has been a decrease in Average Sale Price from May to June however the # of Days on Market has also decreased.  With the decrease in Days on Market, it tells us that the inventory is moving faster than is was in May.


The Town of Plymouth had a 20% increase in the number of homes sold in June versus May.  The number of Days on Market stayed consistent as did the current available inventory.

 

The Town of Scituate stayed consistent month over month with the exception of a $60,000 decrease in average sale price.


The Town of Marshfield's Average Sale Price increased slightly by 2.5% and total inventory also saw a slight increase.  The Average Days on Market decreased by 29% which shows that inventory is moving at a faster pace.


The Town of Kingston saw an increase of 44% in listings Sold during the month of June.  The market was moving fast as the number of Days on Market decreased by nearly 50%.


Average Sale Prices in the Town of Duxbury increased from May to June although the number of Days on Market also increase which shows that the market was not moving as fast as other nearby towns.


The Town of Norwell saw a dramatic increase in the number of homes Sold in the month of June from 6 to 28. The Average Sale price has also increased from $626K in May to $768K in June.


The Town of Cohasset's Average Sale Price increased in the month of June from $866K to $1.1M.  Inventory was also moving faster in June at 73 Average Days on Market vs. 129 in May.  Current available inventory has stayed consistent.


The Town of Hanover has stayed consistent from May to June in each category.


The Town of Sandwich has had a slight increase in inventory of current homes for sale.  The number of homes Sold was consistent from May to June and the Average Days on Market decreased from 100 to 75 in June.


The Town of Mashpee stayed fairly consistent from May to June.  The Average Sale Price increased from $589K to $717K however the Average # of Days on Market also increased slightly.


The Town of Falmouth stayed consistent from May to June.
