Before becoming incorporated in 1726, Kingston was known as the North Precinct of Plymouth. The Town's early history, as a part of the Plymouth Colony settled by the Pilgrims, initiated an active historical community.
Today, this town is a residential community comprised of fishermen and cranberry growers. Many of Kingston’s 14K+ residents commute to the city using the MBTA train in town.
